When we went aground, I didn't have a dingy yet. Had thought I'd kedge off with the anchor
, then thought carrying said anchor
might be difficult in water depth
just over my head
. Thought well, I'll float the anchor on life preservers, about that time something large and dark went under the bow. (water wasn't clear at all) turned out to be a Dolphin, but could have been a sand or Bull shark. Needless to say, I changed my mind about the anchor.
Took at least an hour working throttle to get off, Capt. I hired thought his skill at the helm
got us off, I think it was the tide. Either way, left a considerable amount of bottom paint
, on the bottom that day.
Ain't life grand? Wish I was there now
