Have to say I've only sailed south sicily, en route
Cagliari to Siracuse last year. Wind
classic summer Med, flaky and not brilliant but we did sail most of that route without an engine
. It was slow - about 4 days not counting stop overs but easy and peaceful. If you motored it, the seas were flat and easy so you'd do ok.
Note that there are a lot of desperate people crossing the water
at the moment.
Lots and lots and lots of dolphins
between Sardinia and Sicily and one of the few places with no night time light pollution from the loom of the land. None of these will bother you on a delivery
trip, but other forumites might be interested.
