Talking We are in Croatia and have bought our Lagoon 440

Our search has ended for our catamaran, we have contracted to buy our Lagoon 440. YAY!!!!!!! Our journey ended in Kremik where we settled on the best one we have seen to date.

It's low hours and full of nice gear. We now wait for Easter to finish so the legals can be finalised.

Wow isn't Croatia a beautiful place??????? We just bought hard charts and pilots for the coast and now believe we will be here long time, it's STUNNING....

Thank you...It sure has, at the end of last year we were in USA then found a couple of boats in Croatia to look at. Specifically we wanted an owners version with electric winches so my wife can handle night watches etc.
In the end wev'e found a virtually unused one with electric furling (Profurl) on main as in boom furling which just makes it easier for her.
We shall spend 2 years in the Med then Caribbean then through Pacific back to Australia.
Cheers Frank

I've seen a lot of fine boats in Croatia, so please if you can, post your experience here for the rest of us. Thanks and congrats.

Well done Frank,

Are you Aussies and if so do you have a dual passport/EU citizenship (to allow 2 years in the med)? We would like to consider a similar concept to what you're doing however I think we'd need to work out a creative way to stay that long in and around the EU :-)

Huge congrats!

Cheers,

Aaron

Hi we are holders of Aussie and UK passports we can freely travel country to country without a problem 90 days at a time. Alonger tourist visa is'nt hard to obtain. Essentially we are funded spending money with return tickets. Cheers Frank

Essentially Bob wev'e ended up with a wealthy mans boat that he poured money into. The extra's on it are crazy, yes we will use them however they go beyond our necessities and are far removed from what we have had before.
Dishwasher! Chilled water air-con, Aft docking camera, Hydraulic Med style boarding gangway in polished SS and teak, Bowthruster, Sonar and a dedicated weather/email gadget that i've yet to explore.

Essentially the experience has been fantastic we had an interpreter who runs a local sail charter business i will post the story once money has changed hands after Easter, meanwhile we enjoy STUNNING & BEAUTIFUL Croatia as tourists.
Cheers and thanks for your wishes.... Frank & Viv

Hi my email is mailfrank AT mail DOT com (can't post emails as they should be due to bots) I can help you with the data we collected it's of no use to us now. Med boats seem to be in far better condition due to seasonal use rather than constant.
Just further up the dock from our motel would be 80 mono's and cats in charter and they only go out during summer.... Email me cheers Frank
