Sail Loft in Greece or Turkey

Hi

Im looking to replace head and mainsail for next season for my boat currently located on hard in Leros Gr.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a quality sail loft in either the Dodecanese area or maybe around Marmaris that I can get in touch with?

thanks

you could try Sailmaking | Sailmaker | DL Sails they are in a Athens and supply about 80 to 90% of the yachts in that part of the med I have used them and found them to be good and they will have a rep/contact on leros

Re: Sail Loft in Greece or Turkey

We are very happy with the sails made at Q Sails in Izmir, Turkey, in 2013. We replaced genoa, main and mizzen sails. We opted for Hydranet tri-radial rather than the usual Dacron. Q Sails makes all sails under brand name Hood, and also make sails under their own brand. We shopped 3 lofts and personally visited each loft before deciding to go with Q Sails in Izmir.

We were in Croatia and had to replace our inmast furling main and got one sent in from Kemp Sails in the UK . They did a great job and were very prompt and quick.

I strongly recommend UK Sails, they have a factory in Marmaris. They are fast and efficient.

Hello, if you have not found a good sail loft already June last year we had a third reef put into our main. Ended up using the loft recommended by Bodrum marina where we were staying. Contact details below for Selda, she was very helpful, the reef point worked great, including adjustable tack ring so could get luff tension regardless of whether kept the reefed sail cars in the track or removing them to get the tack closer to the boom. I would use Selda again.
