New limassol marina cyprus

just received email from limassol marina advising the marina will be open to accepting yachts nr the end of the yr but when i looked at the marina berthing prices I nearly drowned see for your self Properties for sale in Cyprus Limassol Marina Property Yachting Berths in Cyprus

Very high prices indeed !!!
And when you look at "properties", villas have berths with dimensions like 1X20 meters ! Who knows a boat like that ?
Everything is very strange on their website...

locally in cyprus there is such an acute shortage of marina space due to very short sighted goverment policy and infighting.

couple that with a large influx of russian/mid east money and these prices can easily be achieved

it will be interesting if they fill the berths as i am at karpaz a 350 yacht marina which this yr i believe they have only received bookings for 80 yachts this yr which is roughly what they had in the first yr when they offered free berths ( i may be wrong on this figure )and they have offered huge discounts on 12 month contracts I have paid 2000 euros for my yacht and now they are offering free haul out and anti fouling paint on yacht berthing contracts if i was to go to limassol then it would cost me 9000 euros for a 12 month contract

if you have been in TRC going to limmasol is not an option for you,as they will ask you to leave the country,and possibly fine you 3000 euros on arrival!

there is a big difference between cost of living in trc to rep of cyprus,as you should know,being a long term resident in the area.

limmasol marina is primarily aimed at the exclusive super yacht market,tax dodger,not you average grotty yottie livaboard!

the laws may have changed,but last i heard this was the case if "ever" the boat had been in the north,the border may be open,but when it comes to property cypriots have a long memory...........

PLEASE only put FACTS on here and not hear say! It is a fact that if you check out of the TRNC and then go to Turkey you can officially go into the South Cyprus. I went to port officials to check this out.

as i said the law may have changed recently
,but it was a FACT that any boat coming from the north or having visited the north was subject to fines and refusal of entry in cyprus.

thank you for clarifying that,now if you could provide a link to the new ruling and some verifiable FACTS other than your unverifiable claim......

sailed from alanya turkey to paphos (sth cyprus ) this july no probs clearing in and a few yachts that wintered in karpaz last winter have just called a paphos with the vassco rally on hte way to red sea

TRNC =Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. So Karpaz Gate Marina is in the Northern side of Cyprus.
