pirate Mykonos to Athens - seculded beaches, best spots?

Hey,

We have a week to do between Mykonos and Athens, starting in two days.

We're looking for SECULDED bays, beaches that are inaccessible by car / foot , places you can only get to on a yacht etc, to swim during the day and sleep at night under the stars. An example of a kind of place I'm looking for is Kolona on Kithnos.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Poleis Bay on Kea. Was there a few weeks ago, as a day stop. Ruins of the ancient city of Kartheia are near the beach, and is otherwise a 45 minute plus hike to reach otherwise. Definitely worth a stop, IMHO.

A lot of those are south of Mykonos, so not quite on the route you initially asked about.

However, if you are happy to go south for a bit, you can anchor off of Delos (nice and quiet after the day tripper boats are gone).

Also Despotika at the end of Andi Paros is nice and secluded(ish).

BTW. Naousa isn't strictly inaccessible by car, and the water sports boats cruising around the anchorage during the day could be counter to what you are looking for, but it is quite lovely from dusk onwards when all the holiday makers head back to their hotels and holiday apartments (there isn't a taverna at Monestari Beach, but the bar cafe does stay open until about 6).

Can thoroughly recommend Livada beach on Schinoussa also.

You may find it a struggle to find secluded beaches anywhere in Greece during the summer, but even with a few other boats in the anchorages they are usually all very peaceful after dusk.

Enjoy.

A week is not long. It'll be risky going south, since you may have a very rough ride working north again if the meltemi kicks in.

Several good isolated coves on the west coast of Syros; never seen boats over-nighting there except northernmost one. My favourite is Barbaroussa, guarded by a small offshore island

Serifos is a bit far south, but has several isolated coves around the south coast. Its real charm is the beautifully preserved Hora - "Sifnos", above Llivadhi, the main port. Typical cubic Cyclades architecture.

Kithnos, similarly, has several anchorages within an hour's sail from Merika, the main port. Yes, busy by day sometimes in peak season, but empty at night.

Don't miss Manolonisi in the Little Cyclades - see attached photo. It's one of the few places you might be alone at anchor even during peak season.
