My trip to Elba Island

Last summer I spent a week of family sailing around the Elba island on a Sun Odissey 32 chartered in Scarlino. June is a good season for the Elba island as you can still find moorings at the marina for the night. July and August are too crowded and it's almost impossible to find free berths at the marinas on the island. Elba is very nice and a good and quite spot for family sailing. Distances to sail are reasonable and there are enough sheltered bays and anchorages in case of bad weather.
Here is the map of my trip with photos and comments that I uploaded on

Please add your comments about this destination as I'm planning to go there again this summer and sail between Elba and Giglio islands this time.

Hi Macello,
Thanks for sharing that with us. My son lives close by Grossetto and we've often thought of sailing our own yacht in the region. Your pictures were really useful.
