Mooring alternative in Kusadasi

Kusadasi is a famous port of entry and has the oldest marina of Turkey. Almost all sailing guides indicates that there is no mooring place nearby the city. This is correct since the harbour is open to W/NW, the prevailing winds of summer. However, if you sail around April and May, there are days, sometimes weeks of southerly winds. If you have such weather conditions and don't want to pay for marina, the cove between Guvercin Island and the Yilancik cape is the proper place for mooring. At the NE of the cove, anchor above sand to 2-4 meters. 37.51.574N - 27.14.722E
