Yat Marine Marmaris is where many people go for the 6 month off season.
As Ram says its not 'cheap' and you are w aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy outta town. Their prices are on the net if I remember...

But they say the cruiser social life is excellent!

I would bust a gut trying to bust a deal with Netsel and be right in the centre of the old town. It don't get no better.... except for the anchorage at Attuturk square

Hi Spartan, as far as I remember, in 2007 we were at Turgutreis Marina, as well as in Kusadasi marina, and they quoted us the best prices in the med, we finally paid the double leaving our boat at Port Vell in Barcelona... I dont think prices may have raised too much since then!

Spartan, i found the link to the marina in Turgutreis, awesome place, called "D-marina", for 40 ft long we paid daily about 30 euros on 2007.

Spartan,

Beetween Çesme and Antalya there are many marinas, most of them are at very high standards and they have all kind of prices.. This depends a great deal on what you want to have and and where you want to be..
Do you just want to keep the boat in water, do you need hauling/launching and some repairs, do you need to be down town, 15 min. from the airport or can you afford to be a bit off the track ?
If you PM me, I can give you some more precise insight.

Cheers

Hello,
Didim Marina is a quite new spot and not yet full... I questionned the manager of the marina at the last Paris boat show ( Dec 2010) and prices were looking among the cheapest of Turkey (my own sailboat is in Kusadasi marina for 4 years)...

Insurance and cruising turkey?

thanx everyone for all that turkey info, ivedef been spoiled with prices staying in the 3rd world areas past 15years,apparently theres something about needeing to show insurance if one sails the med??is this true??or is it a 3rd party thing that can be gotten there.
cheers Turkey lovers, keep the info rolling in much appreciated, basically im a farm boy sailor heading to the bright lights and big city of sailing..so to speak ,so would like to go prepared and ready to duck and dive ridiculous prices that can get thrown at yacht owners cos apparently were all super rich..
cheerio
