Just a navigational warning if you visit this island and Anchor in Mandraki Bay area

Yes there are reefs around this bay and it does get shallow But to my amazement I have seen 3 yachts in past 2 days hit the reef in this area

Yachts are trying to take a short cut Between st Georges Beach Island and mainland Kastelorizon ( right apposite the new EKO Fuel station) are hitting the reef whilst there is no Navigational buoys in place it is clearly marked on charts but the local fisherman have placed a red 25 liter plastic container right in the middle of reef

reef gps posistion is as follows and this was taken today by my self and i could clearly stand up on the middle of reef ,
LATITUDE 36 08.971 N LONGITUDE 29 35 981 E

Whilst the first 2 yachts yesterday checked for damage the 50ft french Ketch that struck the reef today bounced back about 10 meters after hitting reef and just turned around and carried on motoring

Also fuel is now available here although a bit expensive 1.58 euros per liter
