Hi wondering if anyone has info on Marinas to haul out and store a 44' yacht for 6 months in Istanbul or a couple of days sail from. Thanks

Go read - Noonsite: Istanbul

We had pals who raved about Atakoy where they also start the East Med Rally, but the new Setur Marina is probably worth investigating. Setur are one of the largest marina groups in Turkey and they always do deals to attract new boats in. Always.

Try the Marina in Pendik... about 20miles down the coast from Istanbul... I delivered a Catalac 9 there last August and was impressed with the facilities and service there...nice friendly folks
The owners a CF member so maybe he'll see this and comment...

Re: Istanbul

Pendik is a bit out of track but definately better option. Kalamış and Ataköy are awfully expensive and they don't offer anything else than being a bit closer to the city.

Cheers

Re: Istanbul

Maybe a bit late for your needs, but take a look on the Wiki at Guzelce Marina (Guzelce - a Cruising Guide on the World Cruising and Sailing Wiki). It's the perfect place to haul out for the winter, being half the price of the Istanbul marinas and within 20 minutes by taxi of Istanbul airport.
