Island of Cavallo in Corsica

Is anyone familiar with the Island of Cavallo in the south tip of Corsica?
Has anyone moored at the small marina over there?
Thank you

Too long ago, 2001. Spent a lovely week poking around all the anchorages in Lavezzi as well. Some of the more interesting pilotage in the Mediterranean, but all I remember is a quayside and jetty from then.

Contact - Porto di Cavallo shows a lot more.

Private island. Four very shallow anchorage areas. Cannot go ashore without permission.

6 miles north. Anchor at Golfe de Saint Amanza. Beautiful and sheltered. Nice restaurant and only 5 km from Bonefacio.

In Sardinia Corsica Elba and some coastal stops along Italy and southern France this summer. Loving every minute. The rest of the Mallora squad needs to branch out. On a cruising scale of 1 to 10 Mallorca and southern Spain rates a solid 7..... excellent weather but expensive and sometimes marginal services, rocky anchorages. Italy and Sardinia more a like a 10. Next year Croatia and Greece sound even better. Have not spent even one night in a rocky anchorage since leaving Spain.

Did you buy a stabiliser set?

I love Mallorca for the Island. I have business there and on and off a few other things. The sailing is a bonus, and I would have to agree with you that further east the sailing gets a little better. I would not want to live in Sardegna or Italy, and I guess my preferences colour the overall picture.

Really glad that in your sabbatical from the USA that you guys are enjoying what you are doing.
