Inland cruising

I have just spend a wonderful week with a friend in a canal boat on the Thames river. Now that I'm back on my boat/home it is time to ask, are there any CFrs there?

It was a very different experience, my mate's boat is not finished yet but it is liveable. He had the hull built and delivered with an engine and that was it: from there he built everything up. There are very few marine grade things, most things come from building yards. Much cheaper than a normal chandler, yet functional. As there are no waves, these things only roll if some gin palace goes past above wake speed. I would miss the bit that sticks up in the middle, but I have to say it was a nice experience and I would certainly consider it as an option if I ever went back to live in the Old Country.
