Health Insurance - Italy, Slovenia, Croatia

I am a English guy but lived in Germany and have German Health insurance which is quite pricey, I am planning to spend most of my time on the Boat in Italy, Slovenia & Croatia? what sort of cover do you guys have, I will be 60 Next Year?

We have travel insurance but as a Brit or any EU citizen you should have reciprical cover in those 3 countries. You should be able to get an EHIC, European Health Insurance card either from UK or Germany. Tested the system in Croatia several times, works well

As far as health insurance is concerned, we rely just on the EHIC card. Routine treatment in Croatia, for example, costs just HRK 10 (slightly over £1.00) for a GP consultation and the same for any prescription.

Very efficient and usually quite rapid (especially in the islands as opposed to the big cities).

It sounds like you are a resident in Germany so you will need to apply in Germany for a EHIC card there.
