Cool Finger Jetty required East coast of SPAIN

Hello Fellow Cruisers

I have my boat berthed at Torrevieja .. (Nauticat) - (It was in Valencia - No Life there.) My Boat is a Nauticat 44 Monohull 12.95m

What I would really like to do is in 2018
1. Sail my boat to Greece area approx Spring 2018 . As It may be cheaper than Spain. Lot more Coves to explore.

However due to lack of work,
I may be thinking of selling the boat, so may really need a Large marina to advertise.

So I am thinking of moving my boat to Mid Spain area maybe between Aguillas to XABIA
All depends on the Price. for 3-4 months and If I get work.

Question
What I would like is if ANYONE knows of a Marina on the East Coast of Spain
I am also looking for a Finger Jetty mooring if possible so I can access my boat from the Side -

But Not too expensive maybe 500 Euros per month approx
Formentera have offered a reasonable deal of 525 Euros per month - but it may be a bit limited for Selling and Night life.

Regards
Graham

Southport
UK.

Any advice would be helpful and gratefully appreciated

Finger jetties are hard to come by in Spain or anywhere in the Med. You can try to get corner slip.

For ease of access to a potential buyer I would recommend Barcelona, Palma or Alicante.

A couple of years ago I took my boat to Barcelona to sell it. It was previously in Menorca which is a small place and hard to get to, particularly in the winter.

I took the boat to Port Olimpic to a slip managed by a BPO, a local boat broker who listed it on a no-exclusive basis. The slip was very cheap, only 300 per month for a 42 footer.

At BPO I dealt with the Miguel Luque (+34 619 716 117)

Cartagena is very cat-friendly and has finger berths. it is less expensive than most and has a good live-aboard community. It's about the same distance from Murcia airport as Torrevieja, but twice as from from Alicante, but still do-able (100 euro taxi, or rent a car). Cartagena is a great city for history buffs (and much nicer than Torrevieja) and YPC is right in the centre.
Palma or Barcelona would probably be best for selling a boat, with the former being better for maintenance work but with finger berths hard to find (worth trying outside plama itself). There are many appropriate brokers in Palma (and some just for superyachts!). Both places are far more expensive for berthing than the other two places mentioned above though...

Sorry - forgot you had said "monohull". My general points still apply - and at many marinas which don't in general have finger berths there can be slots at the ends of pontoons which are unpopular because they are more awkward to get in and out of and may therefore be available.

Been in Carthagena too and still seemed expensive (66 for 49) but I guess still cheaper than the rest. Greece is dirt cheap however (6 in offlying areas). And theres oodels of well protected free anchoring. It might somewhat offset your lack of work but may not be the best location if you then do need to sell. Side access to the boat would also be harder to find, its mostly stern to.

Dear graham460,

You may try Empuriabrava at Noth-East part of Espana.

You can find web-cam's and on-line form for pricing at the web-site www.marinaempuriabrava.com

Besides look at the middle-size marina www.clubdemaralmeria.es
