entering the French Inland waterways via the Seine

Hi, we are contemplating getting into the Inland Waterways via the Seine but as it is getting a bit late in the year, are a bit concerned about running out of 'daylight hours' getting from LeHavre / Honfleur to Rouen. Has anyone done this at this time of year and can you give us any info? Is a halfway there stop an option? Any info at all would be great. Thanks, bevicruising
