Danube passage

Hello Cruisers and Sailors,
I am a new member and am hoping to go down the Danube to Turkey next summer and am wondering if someone out there is also intending to make this voyage. Also I would like to hear from anybody who has already made the trip.
Specifically I am wanting advice on what publications maps / charts I should be purchasing.I shall be starting from the Strasbourg area next spring.
Would be extremely grateful if someone would reply, and point me in the right direction as to the above.
Thanking you in anticipation
Regards
Michael Hubble

Re: Danube passage

there were a number of good threads on this trip last year.

if you use the cf search for "black sea, danube canal/river you will get the links

here is one of them

Re: Danube passage

Thanks Atoll
Do you happen to know if you can buy books of the Rhine and Danube, similar to the Guide Fluvial in France. Hopefully showing stopping places, places of interest etc.
