I would not know if they have a capacity to haul out a cat but i have seen a few moored in ACI marinas you might drop them a message in contact section to see if they have the capacity for your cat.

Adriatic Croatia International Club // aci-club.hr

I have no connection to ACI, just trying to help out.

Re: Croatian Marinas

Re catamarans: you need to check directly with each marian - bit of a pain but most Marina in Croatias are tight on space so a bit of planning needed.

Re: earlier point about looking for a place to keep baot for 6 mths or more: check on exposure, there are mountains all along the Croatian coast and isolated storms are common. You need to be well tied up too. There are some exciting shots of boat damage on U Tube at Marina Castella during some high wind earlier this year.

Thanks Rumba! Actually I thought of going down to Croatia at the end of August after the peak season to start checking on marinas and dealers to get a range of options. My purpose is mainly to acquire a resident status in Croatia, which you can get by owning a boat berthed there. It could be cheaper than renting a flat and sailing it would be a welcome addition. Don't be disappointed at my lack of seamanship, I have done mostly daysailing and I need much more practice before venturing out on a cruise by myself. Now, did you actually invite me on board your boat? For if you're serious I might take it seriously ;-)) being a deckhand could be a great way to rehearse the skills. Have you gor a crew? Yours is a big boat to skipper alone!
Cheers, Giorgio.

Hi there. The ACI Marina to the north of Dubrovnik has the facilities for lift out and a good secure yard for winter storage. I don't think you will find another place suitable for lift out of a boat of your size till your up near Split. and definitely not to the south before Montenegro. I was in Bosnia for a year 2008/9 and travelled up and down on a regular basis. If you decide to leave it in
The water there are a few more options.

Re: Croatian Marinas

Thank you for the suggestions. I had e-mailed ACI and they suggested:
Regarding your inquiry for berth for your catamaran please contact directly ACI marinas Umag, Pula, Skradin and Vrboska which can offer this type of berth. You can find all contacts on our website www.aci-club.hr and each of our marina is directly responsible for its berth rentals.

It's been awhile since I had checked so I'm not sure but I don't think these marinas could actually haul a catamaran of this size. I would really like to leave my boat out of the water as I live so far away and no one will be able to check on the boat.
