I am not sure, but if I recall for the Panama Canal, 1900US$ includes a refundable deposit in case you break down in between and need a tug.

Talking about going into the walls of the Corinth. Do they still do the bungee jumping off the bridge? Quite startling to see someone dangling in the middle of the canal passage.
