Corfu to Gibraltar in October

I have been delayed in crossing the Med from Turkey/Greece to Gibraltar. I'm finally heading west mid-October from CORFU, Greece, hoping to do a few fast hops across: Corfu-Malta-Tunisia-Cartagena-Morocco (?), Canary Islands. Are there any boats who are still headed west in the Med for a January Atlantic crossing? I would love to hook up for potential communication and support...

I did this journey (well from Patras Greece to Gibraltar), late October / November last year. Never saw another non commercial craft in four weeks.

We had terrible weather, (two big storms) so I will be very interested to hear your experiences as you progress.

Very bad timing, but not impossible. You may be stopped more than once and for more than a week. If you go carefully you will make it. This year so far does not look any good though.

Last year I supported via Iridium and e-mail a boat with a less experienced skipper all the way from mid-Med (Sicily) to here (Canary Islands). They made it OK and but it took nearly 2 months. They crossed the Atlantic later in January.
