Curiously, my wifes child has her previous's last name , so is a 10 year old travelling with "other" adults. Cyprus insisted on a visual and a question to the young man before they were satisfied. Greece has ignored all that so far.

We leave Symi in the morning with hopefully good sailing weather - diesel aint cheap !

Did the full check in @ kastelorizo - but a word of warning - the lady immigration officer stamped my passport easily recognisably opposite my visa , and then stamped my wife and child "on" the visa - with a faint mark !

have had a devilish time with next 2 check-ins - had to scrutinise passports to actually see the stamps. But hey - thats what cruising is
all about...

That realy is good news. However did you get the DEPKA (cruising Log) from Kastelorizo? as before they would not issue them?

Hi Kriss, If it is the DEPKA it is a A4 size folder, white and inside are all the columnes for each port visited. These are filled in and stamped by the Port Police. If it is not as per these descriptions then you have something else.

Let us know

Is Kriss British? DEPKAs are not issued to Americans or Australians. We were issued a regular transit log for Greece.

Hi Kris, thanks for the info. Yup as a Sud Africaan you will have the Visa stamped into your passport.

Good luck and fair winds.

We loved it when we were in Sth Africa.

It looks like Kastellorizo is a Port of Entry, as Noonsite says, isn't it ?

If you are from the EU you will not be able to get the transit log-DEPKA from there. They will tell you to go to RHODES.

It does now appear that other nationals Aussies,USA and Sth Africans can check in there and get the visa in the passport.
