canaries.. cheapest marinas?

Been looking on the net, but looks like most of the marinas in the canaries don't like to publish their rates, anyone have any numbers?

Re: canaries.. cheapest marinas?

I will do that ,I was hoping that some cruisers on here would be more familiar with the area and know off hand where is cheap and where is silly, I am considering buying a yacht that is in lanzarote at the moment, but the owner is on a monthly arrangement for berthing and at 720 euros a month i thought that was a bit on the expensive side or am i being naieve for the area? The trouble is i wont be able to move the boat any distance for a few months, so was hoping to find somewhere cheaper to berth her in the islands.

Any help much appreciated.

720s not bad , what size is she. La Gomera is probably the cheapest of the major islands but it's a good sail from Lanza . The two Marinas I know on lanza , port calero and Marina rubicon ( playa blanca) are both quite expensive

Re: canaries.. cheapest marinas?

13.7m x 4.38m i know some marinas there charge like in turkey total area than just length, been researching a bit and la gomera san sebastian keeps getting mentioned as one of the cheaper better marinas, though no info on prices, will email them to ask. I thought 720 euro a month for 4 months paid up front was a bit on the heavy side, there are plenty of places in the med where that'd get you a years berthing.

720 a year. Please let me know where in the Med, though I'll get killed in the rush there

Ps. San sebastion de la gomera, is quite a nice place. The marina is well run, right slap bang in the town centre close to a big supermarket and the towns marketplace. food and drink are cheaper then Tenerife or GC. ( less mass tourists etc) good ferry connections to Tenerife and now there's a workable airport.

Re: canaries.. cheapest marinas?

720 a month x 4 months = 2880 euros, there are plenty of places where that will buy a years berthing or not far off it. The boat is currently in puerto calero in lanzarote, probably not the best place to be tied up in for any length of time. Gomera does sound good , i have emailed them for a quote.
