Brokers in the Med

Hi All:
I am looking to buy a boat in the Med to keep as our "RV: there for three or four years. I want to spend under $30k USD. I have been looking at websites etc and see boats that look interesting . For our sailing plans it would be best to buy in Spain but the prices and selection seem better in Greece. Does anyone know of a good broker in Spain or Greece? It isn't a big enough amount of money to keep the broker really interested but I need some way to start.

So would I.

I live here, have a boat for sale and am constantly contacting brookers about a potential replacement, therefore feel qualified to say that.

USD 20k for an 'RV' (im assuming you mean some sort of motor cruiser / sailing boat that can act as a floating appartment) is low for round here and even though the market is indeed slow, i'm constantly amazed at how little interest brookers seem to give to any enquiry under USD 100k, never mind 20. Having said that, there are of course the odd smaller brookers that will be great with any sale but they are few and far between.

I'm assuming that you want to be in Spain, hence the request? If so, forget the Greek market. Sure, there is more choice and better prices BUT you'll have to get it here and a boat of that price would have to go by road, pretty expensive. Stick to the area you want to settle in.

I've sent you a PM re' a brooker I know.
