Re: Bareboat Chartering in Croatia

We sail in Croatia every year in September. You need an ICC. In the U.S.A. only US Sail and ASA can issue these. You also need a VHF operator's license which you can get on line from the FCC website.
As far as an earlier question regarding the winds is concerned, usually, in September, it is quite calm in the morning and it picks up in the late morning and afternoon. If anyone is interested in flotilla sailing, let me know. We organize them every year. Croatia is one of the most fun places to go sailing.

Oh for peats sake. You do not need an ICC to sail in Croatia. It's merely one of the tickets they accept. They also accept US sailing and ASA tickets.

The RYA and the ISA can also issue ICC to US nationals, but not inside the US.

The ASA and US Sail tickets are ICC equivalents and yes, you need such a ICC document or equivalent when sailing in Croatia.

Again, sorry , no. The ICC is merely one document Croatia accepts. I personally use my RYA Yachtmaster offshore cert, in no way is it equivalent.

Croatia have produced a destined list of accepted qualifications and the sea areas they apply to.

The ICC is merely one such document , you can use for example various ASA tickets.

The point remains you don't NEED a ICC to sail in Croatia.
