I think I saw you passing Limehouse on the Saturday before the Jubilee. We had locked into Limehouse around midday.

yes it must have been us,probably cracking the champagne at the time after having made it to fresh water without mishap!

saw this the other night,very interesting,though it may only be available to viewers in the uk,well worth a watch.

Funny you should mention that programme....
It was shot last year and I had my boat up on the Salcote channel on the Blackwater.
During the bit where they go up the Blackwater there's a quick glimpse of my boat as they go in and come back out.
I'm usually based at Thurrock Yacht club now.

another "Mud Hopper!" we seem to do alot of mud hopping down here in cornwall as well on the fal and helford!
though the tides aren't quite so fierce.

You really want to be careful about too much documentation, mate. Sometimes those photos interfere with a good story that your memory has, errrr, augmented a bit!

I concur, as I subscribe to the "older I get, the better I was" philosophy. At least my stories get better. I know your comment was directed to Bob of BobConnie, but I'm the bare assed Bob in the above picture and can assure you a current picture in the same setting would not be the same. So, there is a reason for taking the pictures when your younger. lol

as for the other comments about publishing the story in a magazine.......thanks bob you definitly won't get profile photos like that in "Yachting Monthly!" in the readers comments section
