We had dealings with the Trojan dealer in Athens. Bought our starting batteries from him. Delivered to us in the Argolic Gulf with no problems, prices reasonable.

Tricky.

I'd check Gouvia for options first, but you KNOW it won't be quick.

Let us know how it works out.

I don't think Odyssey makes gel cell batteries, only absorbed glass mat (AGM). You might want to check the charger to be sure it's on an AGM (if it has one) or a lead-acid setting, not on the gel setting.

Re: Another B O A T moment - batteries kaput ???

thanks for replies....

Update :- managed to get 4 x 135 AH acid batteries for 450 , they are italian make - got them from the sparky at the local Volvo dealership.

they fit OK and we are up and running

Ahh yes , not gel , AGM , still have the disadvantage of not being able to see if they have a problem ???

first thing I dis with the new batteries is check the SG.

I think these will be cheaper option and less life than a better battery - but that suits us at present.

Kris - waiting for another BOAT moment ???
