Hint for those who are looking for reasonable wintering in Med.
Just had a contact with Irene from www.sail-albania.com
she wrote that in Orikum Marina are space for wintering, price is subject to negotiation with the marina Home page
It´s an italian firm. She wrote "all bets are off"

Irene is skipper of a 61" Atlantic, that was on hardstand too. (40 to)
Port of Entry is Sarande. Get in contact with agent Agim or ask Irene.

it´s a Lagoon 380, they paid 20 Euros /day

I am currently in this marina as of today. The assistance was great in coming in and reigstering. They clipped me for another port fee but to be honest it was worth it. THey really did a good job. THey have good security and wifi as well. This is a VERY nice little marina. I recommend it for sure if you need something in the area.

The only problem I had with the place was that its miles from town...
but if you hire a car - and go into the countryside - You Must Get A Strong Car !
we had a Pajero and the potholes would have destroyed a lessor car - altho we travelled slowly and carefully , sometimes it was un-avoidable.
was not that impressed with the additional port/entry fees - but , its their country and their rules.
The quote for winter was not that impressive either , but then i am about to pay 1600 / annum for my Cyprus berth , so I had an alternative

Update...just received an email that SAIL ALBANIA at Orikum Marina has become the official Agent for Orikum and Vlore Port.
For Yachts in transit the only Port of entry is Orikum Marina.

I will be in the Adriatic this coming summer and would love to leave my boat in Albania. Super convenient. Just wondering how well protected the marina is for wintering in the water vs on the hard. Also just curious about wintering rate quotes.
