You tell me what price in Australian Dollars you can offer in MacKay, Qld please or stop being a spammer!!
1. Sorry for my misunderstanding, I thought it was US dollar price. If that price is freight free in Australia dollar, that's not very expensive.
2. The basic price I can offer is USD1/Ah, shipping cost depend on shipiing method and order qty. If big order qty plus shipping by sea, will not add up the final price much. I believe USD1.1/Ah even less is possible.
3. I am just trying to provide another battery source here, no intention to offense anyone.

The Norwegian Maritime Authority recommends that all shipowners with vessels that have battery installations, carry out a new risk assessment of the dangers connected to possible accumulations of explosive gases during unwanted incidents in the battery systems,” the Norwegian Maritime Authority said in statement. *

Re: lithium battery source/price thread

Was not LFP.

The LI chemistries commonly used for propulsion are indeed much too dangerous for amateurs to install for use as House banks, in any small mobile use case, especially boats.

that is correct corvus energy systems provided LiCoO battery banks for ferry service.
Definitely not a good fit for our house banks .
Sounds like it may have been a failure in the active cooling system . Hope we eventually find out what actually caused the incident.

yep that's their " drop ins" but he still recommends their bare cells for those of us making our own builds .
Someone forgot the hot glue on the bms connection.

"Their" bare cells, meaning the supposed Sinopoly ones they resell?

I'm afraid once bit twice shy for me, smells like a scammer best to run not walk away.

Re: lithium battery source/price thread

Why? That is super common in this business, in fact the default position to take, need to seek positive evidence of honesty before trusting such suppliers

Seems pretty obvious that's what was going on in the Prowse videos, and as I said, one sniff is all it takes for me to avoid touching them with a ten-foot pole, they just source random BMS and cells from no-name makers and stuff it into a plastic box with no real QA and ship it out.

What you get this month completely different from next month, no consistency, just another roll of the chinese dice. No thanks.

afaic it takes 5-10 years to build a good rep, just a few bad acts and poof, down in the muck with all the rest.

Can happen even to the Trojans of this world, just takes a little longer.

Look what Sears did with Diehard, same with Optima, soon as we found out the OEM was Johnson boom we knew the party's over, they drop the quality factors that cost money, just milking a respected brand name for short term profits, time to look for a better marque.

Re: lithium battery source/price thread

That's the first video where he shows why the battery a fan send to him failed. In the second video he compares it to the battery the company sent to him that has a totally superior BMS that's not sitting in direct contact with the batteries, superior wiring and good connections.

Re: lithium battery source/price thread

Another Will Prowse video....https://youtu.be/-QZ8NhD7rCk.
tests batteries that appear to be too good to be true but testing shows a match to the specs. Still having a understandable problem to buy from a company that hasn't always been honest.
