Ya Gotta See This Privilege 48

This one is a hoot. Refit by Gilligan and the Skipper. Priced right.

How do you consider 120,000 Euros 'priced right'? It's been completely stripped out and is basicly an empty hull that must have a ridiculous construct removed before it can ever hope to be used as a boat again. It should be priced at 5,000 Euros - Berman is clearly bonkers.

"Priced right" is a joke. You do know that the seller sets the price not the Broker.

That is more than the asking price of the 1993 Privilege we bought three years ago.

Unfortunately, that palapa roof will outlast the plywood walkway below it.

A bit too much to pay for a party barge, as far as I'm concerned.

Re: Ya Gotta See This Privilege 48

If priced at $20K USD, and they removed all the garbage above deck, might be a good candidate to cover with the $1.13 per watt solar panels from China and convert to electric propulsion.

BTW, hi Surf City, I follow your blog.

Re: Ya Gotta See This Privilege 48

There is a buyer for every boat.
They just have the price backwards. They will give you that much money to take it off their hands.
They are paying you a hazardous waste removal fee. to take it away.

Berman is greedy hustler --- Killed a guy delivering a Lagoon 38 from France to Miami in 2005- he directed them to change course and head to Annapolis half way across-well they ran into a huge North Atlantic winter storm north of Bermuda -they did not have a para drouge- The lagoon capsized and killed the captain. 2 others were rescued by USCG Happened in Feb 2005

I once put a deposit on a cat that was being sold by Berman after being assured the boat was in great condition. The boat was not in great condition at all but it cost me a return flight and hotel costs to find that out. To make matters worse, after paying the deposit I received an e-mail offering to check the documentation, etc... for over $600 !!!!!!!! Over here brokers are expected to check a boat's documentation as part of the deal, not charge extra for it! Berman has more front than a double decker bus (as we say in England) and if I can possibly avoid it I won't have anything more to do with the man.
