Let's hope, yeah. I still think he can probably do it on his own, though there might be prop, strut, shaft, and/or rudder damage. I am very doubtful that there would be any major hull/keel damage. Boat should be quite salvageable. I wonder if there even IS a strut... maybe not. Maybe the rudder is hung on the keel? Anybody know that boat? Full keel boats can usually survive a grounding like that pretty well.

Yeah, there is no strut and the rudder is keel hung.

This is the guy who not so long ago posted a picture of his leaking shaft seal and asked what it was. Boat is new to him and I’m pretty sure he has no idea what to do in this situation. Hopefully he got it sorted with some help. Hell of an introduction to boat ownership.

He also started the thread about staying aboard during a hurricane. If he was aboard when whatever storm put his boat there, he also learned his lesson about storm prep and, hopefully, learned that there isn't a great deal he could do to save his boat in actual storm conditions. Some sailors may been able to keep it off that beach, newbies not so much.

Good luck, Ty, I sincerely hope that you come out of this relatively unscathed and that the future of your live-aboard life is less... exciting.
