I am not sure there is much in the way of
marinas in Ecuador. Don't know if there is anything in Guayaquil area that would be the best chance. When we were there we kept the
boat on a
mooring in
Bahia de Carraquez. There are no marina facilities there but it is (or was at the time) a safe place to leave a
boat. Moorings are bow and stern in a river and are owned by a former cruiser who keeps a good eye on them. We left our boat there for a month while we went backpacking in Ecuador and
Peru. The river mouth is very shallow and you need to enter at high tide with a local 'pilot' you can get by calling in by
VHF. Depths in the river itself are good. More info here, it appears that it is gradually becoming a marina although no helot.
