Where's the Next Great Destination?

Watching too much TV while we wait for these darn cold fronts to pass through... 57deg + 20kts NW does not make for great sailing days.....

So we see a show that tells us about 10 years ago a 1-acre oceanfront lot on Roatan could be had for around $3k US. Doh! Missed that one....

So where is the next great destination? Somewhere there's a beautiful place that has yet to be discovered / exploited and maybe we want in on the ground floor this time

Any ideas?

Speak for yourself. I consider anything from 10 degrees C (50 degrees F) to be excellent sailing weather. And anything over 10 knots and under 40 knots to be a perfect wind. So I'll take your 14 degrees C (57 F) and 20 knots any day. I guess it depends on what you're used to.

On our last cruise a few weeks ago, the temperature varied from 5 C to 12 C, and the wind was usually 20's and 30's. We had a fantastic time and considered the weather to have been fine. Of course, we do have central heating on board.

Thumbs up

There is a small island in the North Atlantic that is getting bigger by the hour. Population about 300k so bags of space, free heating and hot water

After trying several cruising locations, I'm really settling into the Bahamas. While many of the islands are well known and often visited, I spend at least half of the nights being the only one at an anchorage. I've often gone a week without being with in shouting distance of another boat.
