Sharing information on Google maps.

I'm pretty new here but was asked my advice on sailing in the Western Aegean so put together some notes using the "my places" tool on Google maps. If you're interested, you can see the results here:

Now I think this is a fantastic way to share local knowledge and I was wondering whether anyone else had done this for any other areas or if you'd be interested in doing so.

If you've got a map of anywhere, I'd love it if you shared it here or, if I've missed an existing forum or website, I'd appreciate being pointed in the right direction.

Many thanks,
C xx

yes I thought the exact same thing so built a website dedicated to it and you can update via email from ssb or sat or whatever you email with.

We uploaded our favorite spots in tonga so far. Hopefully a few yachts heading to the pacific will use it and map out a little more.

Another option is to upload your My Places, or a folder, to CF and then we can download it to our Google Earth. It puts it in the temp folder, which you can move if you want to keep it. I'll paste my Greece folder as an example. It's disorganized, sorry
