pirate Cabbage Key, Florida

Just returned from a four day charter from Sarasota to Cabbage Key on a GB 42. Wow what fun. The ICW was great, but nerve rakingly shallow, in places. Cabbage Key is a great place to visit, rest up and refresh yourself. The staff is super friendly. If you are in that beautiful area of Pineland a visit to Cabbage Key is a must.

We spent two nights there last year and also loved it. Did you happen to make it over to Cayo Costa State Park (about a mile away). A must stop if you are cruising in that area. One of our favorite anchorages and miles of white sand beach with few, if any other people!!!

Did you charter your GB 42 from Chitwood?
I have chartered his 48 GB in the past and have now chartered his 50' Selene for March 17-24.
Did you happen to stop at South Seas Resort? I have not been there since before Hurricane Charley and it was then a first class marina and resort. The reviews post-Charley have not been good. Do you have any info on it at all? It will be appreciated, thanks.

ah yes Cabbage Key. they served up one of the coldest beers I have ever had. I anchored there for a couple of nights and slept out on deck in the breeze.
