Wooden Sailboat Tabitha sank 08/01/2019

Rescue by helicopter done from life raft floated well behind the boat is not too difficult. We had a crew member picked up this way from a zodiac a cable length behind HMB Endeavour 4 years ago in a gale off Jervis Bay on our way to Sydney from a failed attempt to get to Hobart.

3 Crew members were saved by helicopter at 08 hours in the morning, they had sheltered in the emergency raft.

The wooden boat sank at around 10 the same morning.
The cause seems to be an important water ingress.

This was my fathers yacht many years ago, I had a lot of happy childhood memories on her, she was a twin screw version, twin keel rampart, was originally commissioned for the Earl of Shrewsbury in 1954. She really was a classic beauty, both my father and now Tabitha have now passed away, was so sad to read this. I would really be interested to know now a year on if she was ever salvaged??? Any information would be grateful.
