What size replacement prop?

I have a 40' Jeanneau Sun Odyssey Deck Salon 1999,
Need a new prop
Lost a blade from my $3300.00 Autoprop 4 years old and AB Marine Middletown RI, will not replace it even though they cannot explain how it fell off. They want me to buy a new one, or send old one to England for repair $2,000.

So, i think ill just get a fixed 3 bladed prop but I'm not sure of size, pitch,

If anyone knows, please rsvp
Thanks,
Bill

Re: What size replacement prop?

Ask your prop’ shop (maybe not AB Marine).
Your dealer, service center, and/or distributors should be able to help in obtaining a free propeller analysis and review. They will have a form to complete with relevant information needed to properly evaluate your vessel. The key to obtaining a good propeller recommendation is providing accurate and current information on the boat, engine(s), existing propellers, and current performance. Don’t guess on answers! Also, it’s important to have actual maximum engine RPM and top boat speed values in order to determine what may be a more optimum propeller style and size.

Re: What size replacement prop?

Check out the Campbell sailor prop. It is the closest thing to your folding (thrust, walk, drag) as you can get for almost the same price as a Michigan or similar.

Exactly. Having good info on how the old prop performed will do wonders for the new prop.
