Re: May 2015 Giveaway: OceanPlanet Batteries

Solar Power for Marine & Mobile, panels & MPPT's for boats

I would seriously like everything they have. If I had to pick one thing it would probably be an electric outboard, but that would lead to more things. I want to build a new small boat that I would love to run with only electric power.
It is designed to run on two 10hp or one 15hp gas motor, but I will want it to be able to motor for hours, so my drawbacks have been battery storage and charging.
If nothing else I have this site bookmarked for the future.

I could use an MPPT controller, like the Western Wmarine10.

Have to make a decision on which, would take a bit of thinking, but some more solar is in our future:

Re: May 2015 Giveaway: OceanPlanet Batteries

Would love those batteries, but I'm also up for the solar panels (for bimini and deck) and charge controllers...

High Power Flexible Solar Panels from Solbian for boats, yachts, marine
Walk on solar panels by Aurinco and Solara for marine use
Marine MPPT charge controllers

Any distributors in Oz or NZ...?

Regards,
Jim

Bruce already knows I want a Watt & Sea Hydrogenerator for the boat!

The 600W model...arriving after a passage with full batteries and no hours on the generator. What a concept!
