You answered the question about galvanization, sort of. You did not comment about the fact that none of the major reputable anchor companies have that requirement.

You also did not answer the first part, the question of QC, source of steel and where manufactured.

People have been somewhat jaundiced by another anchor company who presented itself as a unique place in the market place, and when facts came out, the uniqueness was only there because of a premium price.

Do not make the mistake of prejudicing your product by not answering questions completely and factually; not doing so is the quickest way to you being portrayed in a not favorable light.

Abv3 the anchor is manufactured in China. We have a quality engineer onsite with full insight into the processes and procedures to verify all specs are met. The steel used is A36 grade carbon steel.
The warranty section in the website might have been confusing. Mantus Anchors are guaranteed for life against any faults in materials or manufacturing, including galvanization. As you can imagine normal wear and tear would not be covered by the warranty nor are they covered by others in the industry.

I think you will find the folks on CF a rather tough audience which may be good or bad depending upon how you use their take and opinions.

As to the above from your post - it ain't necessarily so . . . - Fortress Anchors has for years and as far as I know still does send their users who have bent or broken parts of their Fortress anchors, free replacement parts (you pay the shipping). I have twice been amazed at this when I bent my Fortress due to my own stupidity.

If the anchor is bent or deformed, I do not consider that regular wear and tear and "will replace the anchor." I will clarify that in the warranty section.

Very interesting video. It seems that the thinner roll bar causes the Mantus to dig deeper than the Rocna.

Greg, when do you intend to test your anchors in other bottoms (soft mud, grass, gravel, broken shells, maerl...) and post the results?

The prices on the website are also interesting but I couldn't find the dimensions for each size. I want to be able to stow my bow anchor in the chain locker. Before buying a Rocna (NZ made ), I made a 3D pattern in cardboard for checking the fit.

Alain thank you for your interest! We will continue to test as you suggest, and post the results. The grass video comparing the Mantus to the Delta is available on you tube, and in this thread.

Yes, you made a video comparing the Mantus and the Delta in grass and fine sand.

But there were only 2 anchors and no measurements. I would like to see more different anchors and some hard data: water depth, scope, strength and speed of pull...

I know it's a lot of work and it costs a lot of money but I will need some persuasion before replacing a Rocna and a Spade with a new and somewhat unproven anchor.

I question the angle of the chain to the bottom, it's like a scope of a million to one.

I would like to see it in 30-50 feet of water with typical scopes.

In Galveston Bay Test all measurements that were presented in the video had the scope of 10/1. We were using a winch to pull the anchors so the scope was constantly changing. We started with a scope of 20/1
to measure the resistance at 10/1 scope we stopped the pull, zeroed the gauge when that scope was reached and than continued the pull. Then recorded the numbers. I hope this helps.
