Mantus
I ordered two Mantus chain hooks a couple of months ago from Mantus and they arrived without the plastic chain retainers. There was a note that said they were out of the plastic retainers but would send them to me in a few weeks. After almost a month I received one that wasn't even the right size. After many unanswered phone calls and no replies to my messages I have given up.

re: Mantus
Good luck! Although I'm grateful that I won a credit on the Mantus give away, part of what I picked was out of stock. Never got the rest.

re: Mantus
I believe it took 4-ish weeks or so for mine to come in after the initial order arrived. Must be inundated at the moment.

re: Mantus
We had ordered a chain hook. It didn't fit they very quickly sent another and told me to keep the original, I was very pleased with their service. It could be the boat show schedule causing some delays. No excuse but hope they could easily thru.

re: Mantus
5 months or so ago I ordered 25 lb anchor, bow roller, chain swivel, double leg bridle with 1/4 chain hook, two tee shirts and two bottle opener's. I received all except the two bottle openers in a timely manor, the bottle openers arrived after coming back in stock. I'm am a very pleased Mantus customer and will buy and recommend anytime. Greg Kutsen spent at least a combined 1 - 1 1/2 hours between phone and email comms making sure I was buying what I needed, and not what I didn't. The customer service I received was second to none. and that Mantus anchor is great, I sleep better on the hook knowing it's down there. and look here, 12 hour's 4 minutes and Greg is here trying to make it right.

re: Mantus
I bought my chain hook from them for my 3/8" BBB. Originally they did not have the plastic clip and I found out immediately why they needed a more secure method. When the tide went out and the hook happened to touch the bottom, it would come off the chain. I later learned that a plastic securing clip became available. When I inquired for one, I was also told they were out. I went cruising and gerry-rig a method of keeping it on the chain.
It seems to me this operation is quick to market and slow on testing.

re: Mantus
I generally like all the Mantus stuff we have bought but the plastic gate on the chain hooks is pretty flimsy. We have broken two - I guess they get brittle in the sun - so we keep two more on the boat.

re: Mantus
Interesting! We purchased a Mantus anchor earlier this year, and have had nothing but a great experience dealing with them (Mantus USA).

I have bought mantus anchor, bridle, headlamps, and will keep buying their products (never did get that XL t-shirt though so I could do some advertising...nudge nudge)

re: Mantus
What do you mean 'inundated'?
Like they sold one million hooks?
No, simply someone s-ed up and they do not know what to send and where.
Modern people. Modern methods. Good for nothing.
A serious company does not let the client down.

re: Mantus
Sorry about all the troubles guys. We were out of stock on the safety gates and didn't want to hold up shipments of the hooks so some went out without gates and the gates followed a few weeks later.
We take customer service very seriously and aim to please on every single order. Apparently we failed here, but would love to rectify it.
We have full stock on every product. You can email me directly at deneen@mantusanchors.com and I will resolve your issues personally and expedite shipment to you.
Thank you for bring this to our attention and giving us a chance to resolve it.
Deneen
