Location: Lovely Ko Olina Marina, near Honolulu, Hawaii (quiet and safe private marina with transferable slip). The asking price includes up to six months of slip fees at Ko Olina Marina if requested. We may be able to help with delivery to the Pacific Northwest.

Description: Our Pilothouse 46 is a super-strong vessel for cruising to remote locations, built to sail easily through heavy weather and to be very comfortable upon arrival at any destination, whether it be an isolated anchorage or marina berth. Key attributes of the boat include (1) an extremely rugged “no-maintenance” aluminum hull, (2) a fabulous pilothouse with 360-degree views, (3) robust twin keels that enable routine beaching fully upright (“drying out”) for total independence in remote locations, (4) voluminous tankage for long-range operation and prolonged periods far “off the grid,” and (5) comforts of home, such as a convenient galley, shower room with ample hot water, automatic fresh-water toilet and cozy cabins, making for a delightful home away from home or long-term liveaboard. She is a powerful vessel for discerning sailors who know what is required to achieve maximum utility and safety while also being comfortable in real-world conditions. We have received some questions about the cost of building a boat like ours. The estimated replacement value in 2016 (before we spent $110,00 on a refit in 2018), was $986,000.

Update:

We just had a professional diver inspect the underwater hull and zincs, and he reported that everything is in great condition! (We have pictures of the hull on our website, pilothousemotorsailer.wordpress.com)

When we have purchased boats in the past, we were almost always frustrated by the lack of information. We were just on Oahu a couple of months ago & are thinking about relocating. Considering the price of real estate I'm thinking a liveaboard is the way to go. Can you tell me how much the slip fee is?
