Looking for - Nauticat 35 in Canada / PNW

Good day,

Looking to purchase a Nauticat 35.
Preferably located in Canadaís West coast (to save the additional duty cost). However, depending on price and condition - any other reasonable location will be considered.

Similarly, any other pilothouse motorsailer of that build quality will be an option, they are few and far between.

If you own one, or have a lead on a relevant vessel - please PM with the details.

If itís posted on Yachtworld or the Nauticat Yahoo group. Iíve seen it

Thank you!

Our sistership is for sale... Heavy displacement PH, cutter-rigged. We love ours - very solid boat for exploring off the beaten path! See https://seattle.craigslist.org/kit/b...539482223.html

Just a note for your consideration. As a Canadian, buying a boat in the US you have to be aware of dutiesóNAFTA (while it lasts) only covers boats built in the US. We looked at a Nauticat but between the exchange rate and the added (I think it was 9%) duty, it put the price out of our range...

Thumbs up Re: Looking for - Nauticat 35 in Canada / PNW

- Thank you Robynredsail.

- 76Trombones, I had a look at the link provided - the CL posting for the North sea 33' expired.
I've considered the Canadian made NorthSea 34, but they are very hard to find, non for sale at this time. Thank you.

- Macblaze, thanks! I am well aware of the importation costs after some research. The duty is at 9.5% for any non North American vessels, then 12% BC tax on top of that sum. boats at the $90,000 USD range are about 145,000 CAD (!!!) to survey and bring over.

I am looking at all available online posted options now.
My hope is - perhaps this forum will surface an "offline" Nauticat 35 that the owner considered selling and doesn't have a broker yet, or hasn't listed yet.
They are lovely vessels IMO, that don't have much representation in the PNW.

Cheers!

There's a Nauticat 36 in Toronto on Kijiji - "PAMPERO".

Thank you SuW,
I've seen it a couple of weeks ago, I've got alerts setup for almost every website out there.
The 36 is the "traditional" version of Nauticat. I'm in the market for the "modern" design like the 32, and 35.
There are 3 NC35 for sale in North America. I've seen 2 already.

Cheers!

Thank you for the offer finikeyachting.
As mentioned, the NC35 is my top choice for size and budget.
The NC37 is probably the best option, but they are newer and demand top $$$.
At this point I have no means of bringing a vessel from the Mediterranean or even across the pond. I live in Vancouver, shipping a NC35 across the country is about $10,000 US.

Good luck with the sale!
