Sad to have missed this post - looks to be exactly what I'm looking for!

Would love to get your input on buying a similar Horstman, as my research has not been fruitful - seems like they are rarer these days..

The fellow who bought it should appreciate it. Hope he takes it across an ocean! TriStars are certainly capable vessels and should be sailed long distances in blue water. Ed Horstman really got it right as far as design, comfort, sail-ability and strength.

Re; sharing my thoughts, happy to do so, but right now my wife and I are involved in a horrible lawsuit with some very, very bad actors so we are concentrating on the case.

Please contact me again a a couple months when we hope to have dispensed with this burden.

Unfortunately, the fellow ran into some personal issues of his own & has Crossroads (Puffin) back up for sale for $32k on CL. Sad I was a bit late to your listing as this looks like the right boat for my journey down to Chile next year, but I can't swallow paying over double for the same boat, different owner

Vonderlust, thanks for the update! I'm surprised that he is selling so soon.....for so much!

I was going to spend a few more days explaining the boat and take him for a daysail. I'm not so inclined to help him sell the boat within a month to DOUBLE HIS $$, though.

I think if I were you, I may make him a reasonable offer that works well for you, then see if in a few months the boat is still for sail.

I Hope you get the perfect boat. They are out there.
