Classic Plastic in Caribbean - best website?

Hi all,

I'm looking for a "classic plastic" boat from the sixties or early seventies... maybe 28' to 40' or so... in the Caribbean. I realize these old beauties don't bring much so brokers aren't very interested in handling them... thus few if any on Yachtworld, etc. Even sailboatlistings.com has very few. I've tried craigslist for specific islands in the Caribbean, but not much.

Does anyone have any other website suggestions? (or boats available?)

Thanks,

Dick

She is a beauty... but Thailand is just too far (although, I hear it's wonderful).

That's pretty close to what I'm looking for.

Thanks for posting.

Re: Classic Plastic in Caribbean - best website?

There is an Acapulco 40 for sale on yacht world that is located in the Caribbean. I happen to own this model of boat, they are all around 40 years old, but built like a Sherman tank with absolutely fabulous sailing qualities and comfort motion. They have huge tankage (200 of water in stainless, and 120 of diesel in aluminum, wonderful accommodation, Qatar rigged, a high bulwark around the deck and a huge deeply protected cockpit. Long Keel and protected Rudder.. The one for sale is nicely equipped and has been cruise to so it has all the bells and whistle‘s, check it out

I had one of those. Good sailer! And, loved the hideaway salon table!

Try Power Boats or Peaks in Chaguaramos, Trinidad.
