Our 40 foot Fountaine Pajot Catamaran Raya Aguila (Eagle Ray) and day sail & snorkel tours business is FOR SALE on the stunning island of Roatan, Honduras. Raya Aguila had a complete refit & renovation in 2015/2016 and is essentially a new boat with the original hulls. The business is up and running and has just completed its first full year of operations with great success, scoring 5 out of 5 on Trip Advisor Reviews, has well trained local crew, secure moorage and easy access to Roatan’s top 5 tourist destinations for day trips. The asking price for the catamaran and charter business together is $149,000.

Raya Aguila has undergone a complete refit & renovation over the past year and is essentially a new boat with the original hulls. The boat is currently set up for day trip charters but was renovated with conversion to cruising set up being kept in mind. Entire hull sanded, faired and re-gelcoated inside & out, new gelcoat non-skid on decks. All interior headliner removed and fiberglass refinished in textured gelcoat. All woodwork inside refinished. All new fiberglass doors & interior cabinets, 56 doors and cabinet facings alone. All new upholstery and foam cushions for seating & berths. Complete set of new cockpit cushions. Main saloon and cockpit cushions covered in Sunbrella fabric.

Complete removal of all old wiring systems, replaced with North American standard marine wiring & Blue Seas panels, 2 banks for 12 volt, 1 for 110 volt & 3 monitoring meters, all integrated. New Promariner 2500 watt inverter with 70 amp battery charger, new shore power system including 50’ cordset & battery galvanic isolator. New battery switches dedicated to each engine, new Group 27 marine deep cycle starter battery each engine, 6 new Group 27 marine deep cycle batteries for house bank, new Group 27 battery for anchor windlass. Combination battery switches to combine all batteries into 1 large bank for charging from shore power. All new lighting throughout vessel. 2x75 watt solar panels with new MPPT charge controller.

Complete removal of all old plumbing fixtures, replaced with new Dometic electric macerator toilets, new fresh water pump, new sinks and fixtures. New kitchen cabinets in laminate with new Eno 3 burner propane stove, 1000 watt microwave, & 2 bar size refrigerators with small freezers. Refrigerators run from inverter or shore power. Designed so one refrigerator could easily be replaced with freezer unit for long distance cruising. All new tile & cabinet work in both heads. New waterproof laminate flooring in wood look installed throughout vessel. 4 burner propane BBQ grill on aft deck.

All new standing & running rigging, including new Profurl Classic roller furling system. New boom & new mainsheet running blocks. All winches are self-tailing, recently serviced, original Barients of various sizes. New trampoline for foredeck, new aft deck constructed between hulls to provide additional deck space & platform for storage of tender as well as snorkeling & diving platform. There are 2 fresh water showers on the aft deck, one on each side. New fiberglass hard top on welded aluminum frame covers entire cockpit to provide shade & rain protection. Strong enough for several people to walk on for sail handling, maintenance, etc. New foldable & demountable aluminum boarding ladder. All hatches and main cabin windows had new Lexan installed.

New Garmin GPS plotter/Sounder, new Raymarine ST60+ wind instruments, new Uniden VHF with new masthead antenna & cabling, below deck linear drive Autohelm autopilot, all electronics networked together but will operate as standalone units.

Engines
2 Yanmar 4JHTE turbocharged 4 cyl diesels, 75 HP each, new 2011, less than 1000 hrs. Shaft drives through PSS shaft seals and stern tubes to 3 blade fixed bronze propellers, no struts. Top speed 11 knots at 3100 RPM, cruise at 9 knots at 2500 RPM.

Water Capacity 400 L (106 gal)
Fuel Capacity 250 L (66 gal)

Sails
Full battened JSI mainsail, Battcar slides, fair condition, will need replacing soon. Working jib with new Sunbrella roller furling cover, medium condition. Large genoa, little used, good condition. New Screecher on Facnor integral luff line drive furler with Sunbrella cover. Asymmetrical spinnaker, fair condition.

Anchor gear
Simpson Lawrence Pacific V4000 electric windlass mounted inside anchor locker. Foot switch on deck, chain & rope gypsy, just serviced. 75 feet of 3/8” BBB galvanized chain plus 150 feet of 7/8 nylon triple braid, 45 lb CQR plow. New dedicated Group 27 battery, 100 amp breaker.

The dinghy is an all fiberglass dinghy that looks like an inflatable, foam filled fiberglass tubes an AB 11 foot rigid hull, rubrail all around, super strong & no puncturing. It has a 1995 Yamaha 20HP 2 stroke outboard, runs like new, best outboard we have ever owned even though it's 20 years old. All required safety & lifesaving gear to meet USCG uninspected vessel for hire requirements including 16 life jackets.
