Boat import from AU to NZ?
Hi All!

Advice please!
I'm planning to buy a sailboat. I prefer production boats (BeneJennBava, 38-41, 100-140kNZ$).
I've looked prices in many websites for many months and the time has finally came when things got serious!
So I live in New Zealand and according to my research this country seems to be the most expensive place in the planet to buy a boat!
I found boat prices 30-40 % cheaper in Australia and much bigger market. Does anyone has experience with boat import from AU to NZ? What are the pros & cons? Can the boat be in NZ but remain AU registered (at least for a while)? Etc...
