Re: Admiral Excutive 38

In the layout posted above it looks like the beds are arraigned athwartships, but the pictures you have of the cabin show the beds being mounted (or at least made) fore and aft. Which layout is it?

Re: Admiral Excutive 38

The owners berths are forward facing as shown in the photos, the other aft berth is side facing as shown in the diagram. Also on Makana there is a nav. station at the top of the steps on the owners side. I couldn't find an exact layout diagram for Makana.

Re: Admiral Excutive 38

The mast height. Is that your bridge clearance height or the height of the mast from the foot of the mast? Just checking because people answer mast height differently.

The top of the mast is 57 feet from the waterline, we fit under all the bridges on the ICW with the exception of the one between Ft Lauderdale and Miami.

Re: Admiral Excutive 38

Hey Makana,

Is there a reason why a quick google search of your vessel brings up a previous sale listing for back in 2013? Is/Was there a reason for it not selling back then?

Additionally, the photos on this thread are the exact same as the ones from the admiral magazine publication from back in 2009. Do you have more recent photos to illustrate interior/exterior wear from the past 8 years?

Thanks again, beautiful cat.

Best,
dave

Re: Admiral Excutive 38

Hi Dave,

We had Makana on the market for the summer in 2013 with a listing price of $325,000 the reason we listed the vessel was due to our storing the vessel in Florida that summer and at the time had not yet imported the vessel (email, pm or call me and I'll go into more details with you). Two weeks ago we imported the vessel and paid the customs duty.

We used the saloon and galley photos as they are well done with the saloon and galley currently looking exactly the same as the photos listed in the listing, we've had Sunbrella covers over the leather settee cushions since day one and have been fanatic about maintaining the vessel. The salon pictures in this post were taken 10 minutes ago with my iPhone and show the settee covers in place with the leather under them being pristine (we placed a towel over the windows to diffuse the morning light), the other pictures were taken in the past 10 days. We would be more than happy to have you aboard to have a look, thanks.

Wow, you're not kidding! No disagreement there!

Like I said, a beautiful cat. Lot of respect for owners who take this much pride and energy in to maintenance over the years.. Thanks so much for the quick updates and posted photos.

Re: Admiral Excutive 38

Hi Makana. I just came across you listing on the Yacht Market site. Beautiful boat! Just on the wrong side of the Pacific! I have two questions. Re the owner berth: is it possible to use it the other way round? I have physical restrictions and can't do the crawl in thing so looking for a side access berth. Second question is about the davits. It appears as if the lifting frame cuts across and blocks the duckboard, so you have to climb over it to go across the back of the boat when the dinghy is not there, and would completely block passage with the dinghy on board. Is this the case?

Has Makana sold yet? I'm checking out another Admiral 38 in Fort Lauderdale this weekend, would love to come see if still available.
