440 Lagoon $250K

Finally have our ducks in a row, looking to buy a 440 Lagoon, budget is $250K. Money for escrow account being deposited with Catamarans.com (Brent) by the end of the week. Just waiting on the boat at this point in time. Would like to close with 60 days or less.

Re: 440 Lagoon $250K

I was on hull #1 in Panama. Think it was around 600k in 2004. One sold for around 380k last fall. 250 seems pretty light, but I don't follow the used boat market much these days.

Re: 440 Lagoon $250K

The one with high engine hours went under contract, it also had hull damage below the waterline that was repaired a couple years ago. I see 440's in the 250K area 3-4 times a year. Priced up over 300-330 seem to sit. Patience will be needed to get in at 250 but I think/hope that an immediate sale will be attractive to the right seller, get me into the right boat.

lagoon 440 for sale in New Caledonia or Australia

We have just decided to stop our circumnavigation, after 3 1/2 years: our eldest will soon turn 15 and wants to go to school. Until last week our plans were still to sail to Thailand, and end our trip in SE Asia at the end of 2016, after spending the upcoming cyclone season in Sydney. We are in Niue, near Tonga, and should be in New Caledonia from mid-October till mid-November. We have not signed up with a broker yet.

Our 2007 L440 is a 4-cabin, 12-berth version that comes with 2 x 6-person life rafts, a 3-year old 3.1m aluminum bottom dinghy, a 2-year old 15HP Yamaha outboard, a 1500W generator, a washing machine, a sea kayak, a folding bicycle, tools, kitchenware, linen, tools, spare parts, etc. In July we hauled out for two weeks. Beyond new anti fouling paint, we did the "8-year checkup": rigging, rudders (new rings), sail drives (clutch maintenance, new rubber flange seals: they should be changed every 7 years according to Yanmar), engines (new engine mounts, new alternators, new brushes for the starters, new impellers, new belts, etc). You could just get on board with your bags and sail away...

Our asking price is 250000 €. Just a year ago I would not have replied to a low offer like yours, but the € has lost 20% against the $, so the gap is much less today. Also, we are now under pressure to sell quickly. If you are interested please pm me or email: danyaf@yahoo.com

Re: 440 Lagoon $250K

It is a bit larger, and I know you said 440 lagoon, however, consider a 65' trimaran?

Re: 440 Lagoon $250K

Thank you for the offer, we really have narrowed it down to a single boat though, still in the hunt for that 440 Lagoon. We shall see if the boat show brings us any luck today or tomorrow. The boats are out there, location has been an issue but willing to do trans Atlantic in the spring if one doesn't pop up in the next 90 days.

Re: 440 Lagoon $250K

We are putting our Lagoon 440 on sale now, after 2.5 years sailing. We are in Bora-Bora and we will sail West in June 2016 unless the boat is sold before. Our boat is superbly maintained and we are asking for a price above your offering, but it is worth trying...
