Re: 43 foot Bruce Roberts

Hi, we're interested but we're in Australia and it's not a great time to be travelling. A few questions. Where is the boat flagged? Are you in a marina? How much per month? The boat is also for sale through a Broker on Yachtworld. Who are we best to deal with - you or them? We contacted the broker but have not heard from him/her yet. You had a repaint in 2018 - how often does the hull need repainting in the tropics? We haven't owned a steel boat before - are there any ongoing problems with instruments related to magnetic fields?
Hope to hear from you.

Re: 43 foot Bruce Roberts

44' George Sutton Radius Chine Steel Cutter - $5,000 obo.
Price: $5,000 or best offer.
Location: Beaufort, NC

"This George Sutton 44 was professionally built in St. Augustine Florida, and is in excellent condition. This hull is conservatively designed, well built, and stout - a perfect PROJECT for someone wanting to build a go anywhere most anytime type of vessel." Emphasis added
Needs interior, mechanicals, electrics, electronics, legals etc ++++++

This is what $5000 buys of a Bruce Roberts line.. Not a finished boat !!!!

That said..
I'm looking for a 40-55 ft steel hull - stalled project.
Why ?? Because it is much easier to "verify" a steel kit boat than any other which includes "corporation" built production boats.
Plus, I have ideas in layout and in design not available.

NB. A local 55' molded fibreglass hull was cut-up recently. Because you could see daylight through it... Somebody was preparing to build it.
