38' Cheoy Lee Ketch, Diesel, Solar, Ham Radio, SF Bay

Sad to see her go. But my loss is someone elses gain.
Cheoy lee sailing yachts are known for being passage makers. And this one had the teak decks removed with all the screw holes filled and faired with west system epoxy for easy ownership.
Teak interior down below,
with nice auxilary heater.
Teak and holly cabin sole.
Fresh perkins 4.107 with-
new Bowman Heat exchanger.
New aluminum ceramic coated exhaust wrapped in carbon fiber. (Should last another 20 years)
Wheel steering. Ketch Rig!!
Very comfortable liveaboard.
Force 10 propane 3 burner stove and oven.
Ham radio onboard and super tuner work off DC
Coast guard documented vessel. Raymarine 7" axiom chart plotter MFD (touchscreen with built in GPS and world charts)
Vhf, and hand held vhf
400w solar pannels,
40a mppt solar controller
460 amp hour house bank with 2 12v starting batteries on a seperate bank.
12v Flat pannel TV DVD combo.
Hauled out and hull looks amazing. Although, she is about due for a bottom job. I have all new thruhulls to go in at that time.
Large sail inventory. Storm sails, spinnaker sails, and working jib and geneoa.
ketch rig is a proven reliable cruiser, this one has running backstays. And the rig itself seems to be in decent shape.
Comes with aWalker bay 10 sailing dinghy with all the trimming.
Not a perfect vessel, some cosmetic work is needed to be in bristol shape. Price reflects that. But, she will sail to mexico in a moments notice and be more comfortable that most in the process. This would be perfect for someone wanting to live the cruising lifestyle. As I intended to, but, job oportunity means Im staying for a few more years. Its berthed in alameda california, where you could sail away from or rent a berth here or there. Im lookimg for an easier sale, Im moving out of state and would prefer not to deal with it remotely.
I am asking $10,000
Is there any interest?

I'm no expert on Cheoy Lee boats but this does appear to be one hell of a good deal for the asking price of 10 Gs. If i was looking for a boat I would seriously consider it.

Thanks Diesel Bill. [emoji16]
I agree, when I was looking for this one, I only found 34' catalinas in this price range. I hope to go cruising eventually, but Im in my prime in my industry for at my age, and Ill take advantage for a few more years.

Not that it will last long at that price but might be a good idea to add it to the boats under 30k thread. I think there is a lot of folks watching that thread for deals.

Whole boat for less than the price of the engine. Can’t beat that.

One of my favorite builders of classic plastic. This looks like a crazy good deal! The Cheoy Lees typically had varnished spars. Are these the original wood spars?

that has gotten my attention. Of course I'm in Colorado! Let me think hard on it - may be part of a future option that I plan to exercise anyway....

That’s potentially an amazing deal and...as a fellow Colorado Sailor...I’d be happy to help you move her about.
