Wink 1998 Island Packet 40

The Island Packet 40 is reputedly the best yacht that Bob Johnson ever designed and this particular yacht will not disappoint you. She has been cruised and lovingly maintained by owners who have very high standards of comfort, seaworthiness and style.

This is a very special yacht, not just because she's one of the nicest and most-loved Island Packet models. She also has many custom features, such as a remodeled navigational station and a custom arch with davits and solar panels, always berthed with a full boat cover and looked after by full time crew.

If you're looking for a pedigree blue water cruiser to take you on your next adventure then you must inspect this yacht.

Everything You Need
The Island Packet 40 is often referred to as the ultimate cruising sailboat for a family or for a couple that wants a safe yacht with sea kindly hull, The IP40 has a full keel and well protected rudder.. Her spacious interior makes her feel much larger than your average forty-footer. Her current owner has worked hard to make her feel like a home on the water.

Upon entering the companionway, a large salon opens up before you, with Island Packet's signature fold-down table that can be stowed against the bulkhead if you need extra space or fully expanded to seat 6 comfortably for dinner.

Aft of the salon to starboard, there is a well equipped navigation station.

All electronics are nicely mounted and contained within one area. Aft of this, her galley is big enough for two, The fridge and freezer capacity is huge so you'll never be without a cold drink. Meal preparation at sea is easy aboard this boat.

Aft of the salon and to port is a large head with two doors (one opening to the salon and one to the aft cabin) and an aft cabin with a double berth and a large amount of storage. Two couples could cruise together in great comfort and with plenty of privacy with this layout.

Forward of the salon the classic Island Packet layout continues, with a double master berth to starboard and a second full head in the forepeak. All throughout, storage is ample and the boat is spacious and comfortable.

Like all Island Packets, her joinery and craftsmanship is superb. Her owner is an experienced yachtsman and has maintained her extremely well. You can now benefit from all their hard work.

Re: 1998 Island Packet 40

Have they visually inspected the chainplates?? This is a very expensive procedure as the chainplates are buried in the hull and you need to remove the main cabin joinery to inspect. Figure 10 grand! No inspection - no survey
